V. Diane Woods, Dr. P.H URGES BLACK MEN TO GET CHECKED!
Dr. Woods paid a visit to the regularly scheduled meeting of St. Andrews Lodge #16, and during refreshments delivered a powerful informational speech regarding the importance of getting your prostate checked early to detect possible prostate cancer. Not only is Dr. Woods a dynamic speaker who gets the message clear, she is also a soldier against prostate cancer in Black men. The statistics are staggering regarding the overwhelmingly large number of Black men who fall victim to prostate cancer due to not getting examined. Get Checked!
San Bernardino Building and Holding raises money with home cooked bbq. Dinners.
Eastern Stars of Golden Star #33 along with the Brothers of St. Andrews Lodge #16 and Mt. Olive Lodge #71 are once again hard at work selling BBQ Chicken Dinners to raise money so that building and holding can continue to maintain our buildings. As long as we continue to keep Past Master Paul Harris and Past Master Tucker on the grill with their secret BBQ sauce we should continue to sell out
Also, Bro. Jackson would like to thank all those who supported the San Bernardino Youth Fraternity #7 by purchasing a beverage with their dinner. This money will help the youth purchase a new banner for their participation in the annual Black History parades. Special Thanks to the youth Grand Lodge District Deputy, Bro. Frank Washington III, for donating sodas to the youth for resale.
Even the highly respected educator, Mrs. Hill, who is the current Assistant Superintendent of San Bernardino County Schools, paid a visit to support the BBQ.
Together we can do great things.
Using a coordinated effort San Bernardino Building and holding was able to clean up the second property in its real estate portfolio. The Property is Located on Ennis St. In San Bernardino CA , it has a huge lot, with huge potential, and was in great need of Paint and a major Clean up. From the photos below it looks like someone is walking the walk, instead of talking the talk. It looks like the President of Building and Holding and its members are on the move. Great Job Brothers the Property Looks 110% better.
